Where Light Cuts Deep

There is no middle ground, only extremes. Light and shadow. Presence and absence. Exposure and obscurity.

In these images, the world is stripped of its essence. The sun, low and unyielding, sharpens every edge and deepens every shadow. The contrast is unforgiving, with no softness, gradual transitions, and stark separations.

The towns I passed through felt empty, as if they were abandoned to the cold. No movement, no voices, just the distant echo of wind against frozen landscapes, the crunch of snow beneath my feet. Silence was not simply an absence of sound; it had weight, depth, and presence. Even the cold had a sound, a quiet hum woven into the stillness.

In contrast, the world is defined. In contrast, it is undone.
